Dynamic BUD
Behavioral Urban Data Analytics for Smarter Cities
Behavioral Urban Data (BUD) provides a thoughtful approach to observing and understanding how people move and interact within spaces, transforming everyday patterns into meaningful insights that support better planning and safer experiences—without compromising individual privacy

Dynamic BUD empowers municipalities, businesses, and planners with intuitive tools to map and interpret urban environments. We transform movement data into clear insights, helping to design safer, more adaptive, and sustainable spaces. Whether guiding everyday improvements or preparing for high-density events, our approach brings together technology, human behavior, and urban needs to create environments that respond intelligently to people

Arch. Meirav Dadash
Hi, I'm Meirav and I'm an architect who specializes in parametric architecture.
I research and analyze enclosed and open spaces using psychological and mathematical models to achieve spatial optimization.
I graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Architecture and Design and have experience working on projects and conducting workshops worldwide.
During my studies and beyond, I developed an algorithm for smart urbanism, which provides a comprehensive understanding of human behavior in spatial environments and generates an extensive database of information about urban users.
In recent years, societies have been facing growing challenges in how people move and behave in urban spaces—whether during large events like festivals or sports games, in sudden emergencies such as siren alerts and mass evacuations, at border crossings and checkpoints, or even in spontaneous gatherings. Existing tools often provide only partial solutions for managing these dynamic situations.
At the same time, urban planning has traditionally focused on rigid, quantitative measures—such as sidewalk width per person—without fully considering the fluidity of real human behavior. To build cities and spaces that truly respond to community needs, we must integrate spatial behavior into the planning process, engage the public in shaping their environments, and ensure that transparent and accessible information is available to everyone.
The problem
The solution
Our 3 steps solution
Step 1: Detection-
The system identifies movement and the usual patterns of people in real time
In this first phase, we detect and analyze movement patterns within your space, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights. Our process makes information intuitive and tailored to your needs, providing a solid foundation for confident decisions and strategic improvements.
Step 2: Prediction-
Based on the collected data, it forecasts crowd congestion and detects sensitive points before they become critical.
At this stage, we use the collected data to forecast crowd dynamics and anticipate potential bottlenecks. By turning insights into forward-looking guidance, we help you plan proactively, ensuring your strategies adapt as conditions evolve.
Step 3: Dynamic Management -
The system directs crowds and alerts teams in real time
Through our pilot program, we use advanced sensors and data analysis to monitor movement in real time, even for those without smartphones, delivering actionable insights for smarter crowd and urban space management.
The 3 steps product
Our solution is based on smart dynamic
mapping. The system maps the environment in real-time and creates a 3D map of open or closed urban areas. It can be customized to work with any sensor with a lens and organize the data based on the client's requirements and local regulations. The more detailed the information we collect and analyze, the wider we can expand the mapping coverage and create a more precise data repository. What sets our solution apart is our ability to gather a wealth of information beyond the original scope, allowing us to provide extensive and innovative insights. For instance, our capability to collect multidimensional information gives us much deeper insights compared to just GPS-based tracking.
Benefits
  • Adaptation
The hardware can connect to any lens type, including street cameras, drones, and other products for mapping the environment based on the customer's preferences.
  • Personal catalog
Each neighborhood, city, or area creates and receives its personal information catalog. This collects specific data from the environment and learns the needs and private data of the inhabitants.
  • Diversity
The product can recognize and track all moving bodies, including children, toddlers, and the elderly, in various environments, beyond just phone owners or information sharers.
  • Real-time
The system is capable of real-time data analysis, handling large events such as demonstrations and festivals, perceiving space in real time, and providing on-site solutions.
  • Transparency
The information is readily available to the customer. The work will be done in close collaboration with the client, ensuring transparent information sharing and providing full autonomy to utilize it.
  • Size
The hardware is small and lightweight, making it easy to attach to any lens. Its compact design ensures portability and convenience.
  • Privacy
The product can analyze the body without capturing facial features or taking photos. The new technology can generate an item for each individual without compromising their privacy.
  • Mobility
The product is capable of tracking mobility and interpreting movement and space usage, including time, distance, stops, direction of travel between sidewalks, and pausing at stores.
